Gimp was the name of Tomas Kalnoky's first band, a punk-rock trio with himself and Chris Greer. They released one album, Smiles for Macavity, in 1995, which contained the original version of "Supernothing" with Tomas' brother Achilles playing violin. After a while Tomas got bored with punk-rock and so Gimp morphed into Catch 22. (Taken from http://risc.perix.co.uk/)
